Vietnamese authorities launch urban order and traffic safety campaigns
Authorities in several Vietnamese regions are implementing measures to restore urban order and improve traffic safety. In Hong Gai Ward, officials have conducted 38 inspections over a ten-month period to address sidewalk encroachments and illegal parking. These efforts included seizing concrete barriers and signs used to occupy parking spaces and removing unauthorized awnings. To assist residents and tourists, the ward has established seven free parking areas capable of accommodating over 400 cars.
In Khanh Hoa Province, police have deployed four interdisciplinary task forces to conduct high-intensity patrols across four wards in Nha Trang. The campaign, scheduled through mid-November 2026, targets speeding, illegal lane changes, and improper parking. Additionally, officials are cracking down on unauthorized street vending, the obstruction of sidewalks with construction materials, and the illegal use of public land for signage or structures to improve urban aesthetics and safety.
