Vietnamese beauty queens share perspectives on family and legacy

Former beauty queens Giáng My and Nguyễn Thị Huyền have shared insights into their personal lives, parenting philosophies, and professional achievements.

Giáng My, the 1992 Hoa hậu Đền Hùng, resides in a large villa in Thảo Điền, Ho Chi Minh City. Regarding her wealth, she expressed her intention to leave her assets to her daughter, Anh Sa, but emphasized teaching her independence. She stated that she prefers to invest in her daughter's education rather than providing direct cash, noting, “I want to give my daughter the whole asset, but I don't give her the fish, I give her the fishing rod.”

Nguyễn Thị Huyền, crowned Miss Vietnam 2004, has maintained a private life while raising three daughters in Hanoi. Recently, she successfully defended her doctoral thesis in Journalism at the Academy of Journalism and Communication after a 14-year academic journey. She expressed pride in her children's musical talents, noting they are more proficient in instruments like the piano than she is, though they have not expressed interest in professional performance or beauty pageants.
