Vietnamese celebrities find success in age-gap relationships

Several prominent Vietnamese female celebrities have gained public attention for their successful relationships with partners 11 years their junior, overcoming social prejudices and age-gap stigmas.

Singer Lệ Quyên and model Lâm Bảo Châu have been in a relationship since late 2020. Despite public scrutiny, Lâm Bảo Châu has supported Lệ Quyên’s career by serving as a director for her music videos. The couple has lived together for over six years, traveling and co-parenting Lệ Quyên’s son.

Additionally, dancesport champion Khánh Thi and Phan Hiển have built a stable life together. Originally a teacher-student relationship on the dance floor, the couple faced initial family opposition and public criticism due to their 11-year age difference. They eventually married in late 2022 after supporting each other through their professional sports careers.
