Vietnam announces scheduled electricity cuts in Hue, Vinh Long and Cần Thơ (July 6‑12, 2026)

Electricity providers in central and southern Vietnam have published outage schedules for early July 2026. In Hue, the regional utility listed multiple planned cuts from July 7, with specific neighborhoods and transformer stations losing power for periods ranging from a few hours to most of the day for maintenance and equipment replacement. The southern power company for Vinh Long detailed daily outages between July 6 and July 12 across several communes, citing grid repairs and routine testing. Cần Thơ’s utility similarly issued a week‑long timetable, pinpointing districts such as Ninh Kiều, Cái Răng and Ô Môn, with outages scheduled for maintenance, repairs or testing of medium‑voltage lines. The notices advise residents and businesses to prepare for temporary loss of electricity during the indicated windows.
