Vietnamese comedian NS Hoài Linh returns home after US trip

Following a 2021 charity controversy, veteran Vietnamese comedian NS Hoài Linh has kept a low public profile. In early July he traveled to the United States to attend a family wedding and returned to Vietnam shortly thereafter.

Soon after his return, he was spotted at a local market on Lý Sơn island in Quảng Ngãi province, dressed in a bright T‑shirt, shorts, sandals, a hat and a backpack. Recognised by residents, he smiled, chatted and interacted warmly with locals. At age 60+ he appears less frequently in media, but his rare public appearances continue to attract significant audience interest and he has recently resumed acting in several films.
