Vietnamese community in Czech Republic hosts language competition

The “Honoring Vietnamese” competition was held on September 12 at the Sapa Shopping Center in Prague, aimed at preserving the Vietnamese language and culture among the younger generation living in the Czech Republic.

Organized by the Education Committee of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in the Czech, the event provided a platform for children to showcase their talents through various mediums, including poetry, singing, and painting. Participants used these arts to express their connection to their ancestral homeland, with some contestants creating portraits of President Ho Chi Minh and maps of Vietnam.

Parents and organizers noted that while children primarily use Czech in school environments, maintaining Vietnamese communication at home is vital for preserving their cultural identity and national traditions.
