Vietnamese community in Hungary holds first Great National Unity Day

The Vietnamese community in Budapest, Hungary, held its first Great National Unity Day on October 18. Organized by the Vietnamese Association in Hungary and the Vietnamese Women's Association in Hungary under the patronage of the Vietnamese Embassy, the event also honored Vietnamese women for October 20 and promoted activities for Vietnamese Culture Day on November 24.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Hungary Bui Le Thai attended the event, which included cultural exchanges, community activities, and musical performances. The gathering aimed to strengthen bonds between different generations and organizations within the diaspora while promoting Vietnamese traditional values and culture to the local Hungarian community.

During his speech, Ambassador Bui Le Thai emphasized that national unity is a precious tradition and a source of strength for the Vietnamese people. He noted that for the overseas community, unity provides a foundation for mutual support, helps build a stable and strong community, facilitates integration into local society, and maintains cultural identity and connections to the homeland.
