Vietnamese community in Laos provides aid to vulnerable groups in Vientiane

The Vietnamese community in Laos has distributed 240 gift sets and 240 meals to vulnerable individuals at the Vientiane Social Protection Center. The aid, which included warm clothing, blankets, and pillows, was provided to support those under social protection, including the elderly, orphans, and people with disabilities, as well as visually impaired families living in the community.

The initiative was organized by the “Solidarity Cup - Sharing Love” charity football tournament organizers in coordination with the Phat Tich Pagoda in Vientiane, the General Association of Vietnamese People in Laos, and various local clubs and sponsors. Funding for the donations was raised through the charity football tournament held on October 11, featuring teams from the Vietnamese diaspora.

Representatives noted that the Phat Tich Pagoda has supported the center for nearly 20 years, providing assistance to help alleviate the difficulties faced by the center's staff and the people in its care.
