Vietnamese companies BSR and SHB recognized for ESG leadership

Several Vietnamese enterprises have been recognized for their commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards and sustainable development.

BSR, the operator of the Dung Quat Oil Refinery, was named among the top 50 leading ESG enterprises in Vietnam for 2026 by Forbes Vietnam. The selection followed a rigorous screening process involving 66 criteria evaluated by SGS Vietnam. BSR was recognized in the oil refining and petrochemical sector for its efforts to optimize operational efficiency, reduce emissions, and implement carbon reduction roadmaps. The company has also engaged in ecological restoration projects, such as reforestation in Quang Ngai province.

SHB was honored as one of the top 10 typical enterprises in energy and green environment at the World Energy and Environment – Vietnam 2026 Forum. The bank has integrated ESG standards into its business operations, focusing on green capital mobilization and supporting renewable energy projects. SHB’s initiatives include internal resource conservation through digital transformation and prioritizing credit for environmentally friendly projects, such as wind power and clean production.
