Vietnamese companies report diverse H1 2026 financial results
Several Vietnamese companies have released significant financial updates for the first half of 2026, highlighting varying trends in profitability, investment, and tax obligations.
Kosy Corporation reported consolidated revenue of 722.66 billion VND and a net profit of 14.75 billion VND, both exceeding the same period last year. However, the company's cash and cash equivalents dropped to approximately 12.62 trillion VND, representing only 0.25% of its total assets. Additionally, Kosy's tax and other payables to the State rose by 83.7% to 200.9 billion VND.
Nhon Trach 2 (NT2) Power Joint Stock Company saw its audited net profit for the first half of 2026 adjusted downward by approximately 95.3 billion VND to 488 billion VND. This reduction from previous self-reported figures was attributed to an increase in the cost of goods sold, specifically due to adjustments in periodic maintenance and repair costs for the plant's equipment.
Refrigeration Electrical Engineering Corporation (REE) significantly increased its capital expenditure, spending over 1.27 trillion VND on the acquisition and construction of fixed assets and other long-term assets during the first six months of 2026. This represents a 2.6-fold increase compared to the same period last year, with the majority of funds directed toward tangible assets.
