Vietnam Consulate in Osaka promotes youth role via Resolution 23

The Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka, in collaboration with the Vietnam-Japan Center for Cultural and Educational Exchange (VJCE), held a seminar to discuss Resolution 23-NQ/TW regarding the Vietnamese community living abroad. The event was attended by over 100 delegates, including youth, intellectuals, entrepreneurs, and representatives of various community organizations in Japan.

During the seminar, Consul General Nguyen Truong Son highlighted the strategic shift in the Party’s approach, moving from “mobilizing, gathering, and caring” to “accompanying and creating mechanisms.” This new framework aims to empower overseas Vietnamese to participate more deeply in the country’s development, viewing them as a strategic resource and a bridge between Vietnam and the world.

The seminar emphasized building a strong, well-integrated community that preserves Vietnamese language, culture, and identity. Consul General Son noted that the Vietnamese community in the Kansai region is young and dynamic, contributing significantly to both Vietnam and Japanese society. However, he also addressed the need to prevent legal violations that could negatively impact the community's image.
