Vietnamese diaspora initiatives focus on language and history education

Efforts to preserve Vietnamese language and history among the diaspora are being highlighted through various educational initiatives. In Vietnam, a training program for Vietnamese language teaching methods is currently being held for 50 overseas teachers representing 14 countries and territories. The program, running from August 11 to August 27, focuses on phonetics, grammar, vocabulary, and classroom organization to help the younger generation of overseas Vietnamese connect with their roots.

Simultaneously, in Garden Grove, California, the Hung Vuong Program organized a ‘Vietnamese History Lesson’ session focused on the Bach Dang victories. The event aimed to introduce Vietnamese history to the youth in Orange County, fostering community unity and cultural connection through historical lectures and academic discussion.
