Vietnamese doctor provides emergency aid to British boy on flight to London

Dr. Nguyen Huu Dung, Director of Binh Tam Eye Hospital, provided emergency medical assistance to a British boy experiencing a prolonged nosebleed on a Vietnam Airlines flight from Hanoi to London.

During flight VN55, the crew requested medical assistance after the child's bleeding became persistent. Dr. Dung performed first aid to control the bleeding and monitored the boy's health for the remainder of the flight. The child's condition stabilized, allowing him to continue the journey to London with his family.

Dr. Dung noted the challenges of providing medical care in an aircraft environment, citing limited space, lack of specialized medical equipment, low humidity, and changes in air pressure.
