Vietnamese employers favor candidates with AI literacy

A ManpowerGroup Employment Outlook Survey (MEOS) for the third quarter of 2026 reveals that 83% of employers in Vietnam are willing to offer higher salaries to candidates demonstrating AI literacy. This figure rises to 88% among businesses in southern Vietnam.

While AI is increasingly integrated into professional workflows—assisting with tasks such as data processing, analysis, and reporting—experts note that the technology is not a replacement for core professional expertise. Instead, AI is becoming a fundamental component of professional competency. Employers are shifting their focus from whether a candidate simply knows how to use AI tools to how effectively and responsibly they can integrate those tools into their specific work processes to drive innovation and adaptability.
