Vietnamese energy and fertilizer firms announce strategic shifts
Major Vietnamese energy and fertilizer companies have announced strategic developments and leadership changes during recent extraordinary general meetings.
Ca Mau Fertilizer (PVCFC) outlined its long-term vision to become a leading Southeast Asian enterprise by 2050. The company aims to expand into biotechnology, green chemicals, and post-harvest processing. Currently, the company operates an urea plant with a capacity of 800,000 tons per year and has reached a total fertilizer production exceeding 1.5 million tons annually. Between 2021 and 2025, the company saw revenue grow from 7.7 trillion VND to 17.2 trillion VND.
PV GAS (Vietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation) has finalized its leadership structure for the 2026–2031 term. Bùi Minh Tiến was elected Chairman of the Board, and Dương Trí Hội was appointed General Director. In the first eight months of 2026, PV GAS reported consolidated revenue of over 108.1 trillion VND and a consolidated profit before tax of over 14.5 trillion VND, exceeding its annual plan. The company noted that these results were achieved despite volatility in international energy markets and declining domestic gas sources.
