Vietnamese Football Showcases in Korea Futsal Summer Cup and Thailand ASEAN Cup Match

Sixteen Vietnamese futsal teams competed in the National Futsal Summer Cup 2026 in the Republic of Korea, organized by the Vietnamese Community Football in Korea and the Vietnam‑Korea Business and Investment Association. CT7 FC won the championship; Youngboys FC were runners‑up and individual awards went to top scorers Nhat Quang and Dang Phi, best player Cuong and best goalkeeper Huy.

Separately, the Vietnam national football team will open its ASEAN Cup 2026 campaign against Timor Leste at the Chonburi stadium in Thailand. The match is part of Group A, which also includes Singapore, Indonesia and Cambodia. Coach Kim Sang‑sik’s squad, currently training in South Korea, has scheduled friendlies with Yongin FC, Gangwon FC and an upcoming game against Myanmar before the tournament begins on 24 July.
