Vietnamese fuel companies reduce gasoline and diesel prices
Major petroleum companies in Vietnam, including PVOIL, Petrolimex, and Thalexim, are proactively reducing fuel prices below the government-regulated rates. This rare market movement sees companies offering discounts of approximately 300 to 350 VND per liter on various products, such as E10 RON 95-III gasoline and diesel.
PVOIL has implemented a reduction of 350 VND per liter across its network of 1,100 stations, a program running through October 22, 2026. Petrolimex is also applying minimum price reductions through October 29.
Experts suggest these moves demonstrate corporate responsibility by helping consumers and businesses manage costs during the year-end period. The trend coincides with discussions by the Ministry of Industry and Trade regarding new decrees that could grant enterprises greater autonomy in fuel pricing, potentially fostering more competitive market dynamics.
