Vietnamese horror film ‘Bloodline’ to debut at Busan film market

The Vietnamese supernatural horror film ‘Bloodline: The Curse Within’ (locally titled ‘Huyết Thống’) is set to make its international debut at the Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM) during the Busan International Film Festival. Mockingbird Pictures, which holds the worldwide distribution rights, will present the title to international buyers and distributors.

Directed by Đinh Đức Thiện and produced by K8 Studio and Hoàng Gia, the film follows a renowned pediatric heart surgeon whose daughter becomes the target of an avenging spirit. As conventional medicine fails to address an ancient curse, the surgeon must confront his own hidden transgressions. The production aims to blend medical themes with spirituality, grounding the horror in human elements such as family and generational consequences.

The film features a cast including award-winning actor Quách Ngọc Ngoan, Quang Tuấn, and Lan Phương. ‘Bloodline’ is scheduled for release in Vietnamese theaters on December 25.
