Vietnamese Knowledge Network inaugurated in New Zealand

The Vietnamese Knowledge Network in New Zealand (VKNZ) was officially launched with the backing of the Vietnamese Embassy in Wellington. The network aims to unite the roughly 15,000 Vietnamese residents across New Zealand, offering a platform for sharing expertise, experiences and initiatives among scholars, entrepreneurs, students and workers. With nearly 100 members at its start, VKNZ seeks to promote people‑to‑people cooperation, support community development and strengthen bilateral ties between Vietnam and New Zealand.

Ambassador Phan Minh Giang highlighted the network’s three‑fold mission: caring for Vietnamese people, fostering collective development and enhancing Vietnam’s image abroad. The initiative positions VKNZ as a bridge for professional collaboration and cultural exchange, extending the notion of "knowledge" beyond academia to practical skills and life experience.
