Vietnamese man travels 1,000 km to return lost wedding ring

Phinh Thanh Trang, a 42-year-old Vietnamese man, traveled over 1,000 kilometers to return a wedding ring to a Portuguese couple, Rúben and Mariana Ferreira. The couple lost the ring in the sea at My Khe Beach in Da Nang while on their honeymoon.

After the couple was unable to locate the ring due to deep water and waves, they were introduced to Trang, a local volunteer known for using a metal detector to find lost objects free of charge. Although the couple had already traveled to Phu Quoc island, Trang continued his search during low tide and successfully located the ring.

Trang insisted on performing the search as a volunteer and requested assurance that he would not be paid for his services before confirming the discovery via video call. He then undertook the long journey to ensure the ring was safely returned to the newlyweds.
