Vietnam leader To Lam holds high-level diplomatic meetings with Mexico and Philippines

Vietnamese General Secretary and President To Lam has held high-level meetings with foreign delegations to strengthen bilateral ties and regional cooperation.

In Hanoi, To Lam received Alberto Anaya Gutiérrez, General Secretary of the Mexican Labour Party (PT). The discussions focused on deepening political trust and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Mexico, particularly in trade, investment, and political exchange. The Mexican delegation expressed interest in academic exchanges and the study of Vietnamese political models.

Additionally, To Lam met with a high-level delegation from the Philippines National Security Council, led by Adviser Eduardo San Lorenzo Oban Jr. The meeting emphasized the Enhanced Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and the Philippines. Both nations discussed strengthening maritime cooperation, security, and coordination within the ASEAN framework to ensure regional peace and stability.

These diplomatic engagements occur alongside other significant regional activities, including recent state visits by To Lam to Australia and New Zealand to expand strategic partnerships.
