Vietnamese provinces seek economic cooperation in Russia

Vietnamese provincial delegations are conducting activities in Russia to strengthen economic ties and attract investment.

A delegation from Quang Ninh city, led by Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, met with the Irkutsk Legislative Assembly. Alexander Viktorovich Vedernikov, Chairman of the Irkutsk Legislative Assembly, hosted the meeting to discuss expanding practical cooperation between the two regions and evaluating past collaborative results.

In Moscow, Phu Tho province organized an investment promotion conference in coordination with the Vietnamese Embassy. The event, attended by over 50 Russian businesses and investors, aimed to showcase the province's growth and industrial capacity. Officials highlighted Phu Tho's strategic expansion, noting that by July 2025, the province will encompass a larger area and population following the merger of Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, and Hoa Binh. The province reported significant economic growth and a history of attracting substantial foreign direct investment, hosting major international corporations and industrial zones.
