Vietnamese rescue team recovers 30 victims from Venezuela earthquake rubble

A Vietnamese disaster‑relief team operating in La Guaira, Venezuela, has rescued a total of 30 victims from the rubble of the recent earthquake. Over four days of work the unit split into five search groups, using excavators and manual tools to reach trapped people and retrieve bodies. On the latest day they recovered seven additional corpses, bringing the overall count to 30.

The team coordinated with local authorities and international rescue groups, ensuring safety protocols for both rescuers and victims. Medical crews also disinfected cleared zones and provided health support to the rescuers. The Vietnamese contingent plans to continue searching for remaining victims and expand the search area in the coming days.
