Vietnamese students in Russia expand language and academic opportunities

The Vietnamese Students' Association in Russia has launched the 2026-2027 academic year for the ‘Tiếng Việt vui’ (Joyful Vietnamese) program in Moscow. The initiative, which utilizes Vietnamese international students as volunteer teachers, has reached a record enrollment of 73 students. The program aims to help children born in Russia maintain their mother tongue through lessons, singing, and storytelling.

Simultaneously, Russian universities are diversifying short-term educational offerings for Vietnamese students. Institutions such as St. Petersburg National Aerospace University, Saint Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design, and Tula State University are providing various academic exchange opportunities. These include free career orientation classes, professional internships lasting 7 to 14 days, winter and summer courses, and entrepreneurship acceleration programs designed to enhance technical and scientific expertise.
