Vietnamese students receive local aid and international scholarships
Educational support initiatives in Vietnam are highlighting both local community efforts and international academic achievements. In the mountainous region of Van Chan, local study promotion associations and schools are providing essential resources, such as bicycles and textbooks, to students facing extreme poverty. For example, student Ly Thi Thuy Linh has received support to continue her studies despite significant material hardships.
On an international level, two Vietnamese students, Nguyen Minh Khoi and Nguyen Hoang Lam, have been awarded prestigious New Zealand Government Scholarships for 2026. The dual scholarship, valued at approximately 65,000 NZD, was granted based on high academic performance and a commitment to community service. Khoi aims to study biotechnology to assist farmers affected by natural disasters, while Lam intends to study Finance and Business Analytics to create social value through sustainable business models.
