Vietnam's 13th National Youth Union Congress draws 500 million online views

The 13th National Youth Union Congress of Vietnam was held in Hanoi on 24‑25 June 2024. Chaired by First Secretary Bùi Quang Huy, the event reported more than 857 articles in mainstream media, over 15,000 Facebook posts and close to 500 million total views across digital platforms, reflecting a strong emphasis on information‑technology and digital transformation.

The congress highlighted the youth‑focused book “Thời hoa lửa” produced by Báo Thanh Niên, which received commendations for its emotional impact. Awards were presented to five collectives and 68 individuals, including six from Báo Thanh Niên. Following the congress, the Union organized a large‑scale “Concert Thanh Xuân” that attracted nearly 20,000 spectators, further promoting the congress’s themes of pioneering spirit, creativity and responsibility among Vietnamese youth.
