Vietnam hosts 2026 private sector and creative economy summits

On June 29, Quảng Ngãi province and the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Vietnam organized the Vietnam Private Economy Forum 2026. Provincial officials, including Vice Chairman Lê Trí Hải and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyễn Công Hoàng, highlighted the province’s post‑merger development challenges and opportunities. They cited strengths such as the Dung Quất industrial zone, ports, oil‑refining complexes, and potential in high‑tech agriculture, pharmaceuticals, ecotourism, and logistics. Targets include a 10.2 % GRDP growth in 2025, a budget exceeding VND 36 trillion, and a top‑10 ranking among provinces for private‑sector efficiency. Attendees proposed policy measures to improve financing, digital transformation, green transition, and public‑private collaboration.

A day earlier, the Future Economy Summit (FES) 2026 gathered experts and young entrepreneurs to discuss the creative economy and digital assets. Speakers emphasized that a video, a TikTok channel, or a compelling story can now be treated as a tangible asset. Content creator Vương Khánh described protecting his digital works, while BIDV executive Nguyễn Thị Kim Phượng warned young people to develop financial literacy, manage cash flow, and invest in education. The summit outlined a four‑stage journey—identifying opportunities, building platforms, creating value, and safeguarding results—aimed at fostering sustainable growth in Vietnam’s digital and creative sectors.
