Vietnam Positions Itself as AI‑Driven Growth Hub for Real Estate and Tech Exports in Asia‑Pacific
A Cushman & Wakefield study called “AI Impact” outlines four scenarios for AI adoption in the Asia‑Pacific region through 2030. In the baseline scenario, 50% AI uptake is expected to lift economic growth by 3–4% per year and boost demand for commercial real‑estate, especially data‑centre assets. Dr Dominic Brown of Cushman & Wakefield said, “AI will be a key driver in sustaining the long‑term growth story of APAC,” and highlighted Vietnam as an emerging market with an optimal position to capture this wave. The report projects net absorption of over 96 million sqm of premium office space and a stable core‑property yield around 10%, with regional job creation of 58.5 million positions.
Meanwhile, Vietnamese technology firms are expanding their reach across ASEAN and beyond. Mobile‑payment platforms MoMo and ZaloPay now support QR payments in more than 60 countries, while HRM SaaS provider Tanca serves clients in about 15 nations. FPT signed six strategic AI and digital‑transformation deals with regional giants such as Charoen Pokphand Foods, SCG, UOB, Sembcorp and Singapore Airport Terminal Services. Google Cloud announced broader cooperation with Vietnam’s innovation centres and partners in Singapore and Indonesia, a move Marc Woo described as helping “many Vietnamese founders to access a full AI ecosystem.” These developments illustrate a rapid surge in Vietnam‑originated tech solutions entering regional markets.
