BSR refinery in Vietnam posts record 100,900 billion VND revenue for H1 2026
Vietnam's state‑owned BSR (Tổng công ty Lọc Hóa dầu Việt Nam) reported combined revenue of about 100,900 billion VND in the first half of 2026, the highest ever for the company. Revenue was 1.45 times that of the same period in 2025, driven by higher Brent crude prices – averaging roughly 93.5 USD per barrel, about 30 % above the previous year – and strong margins on refined products.
The Dung Quat refinery operated at an average of 124 % of its design capacity, producing more than 4.05 million tonnes of oil products and selling over 4.03 million tonnes. BSR responded to global market volatility caused by the US‑Israel‑Iran conflict and Hormuz shipping risks by establishing a 24/7 market‑monitoring task force, preparing 15 scenario plans, and increasing output of high‑value fuels such as Jet A‑1 and diesel.
The company contributed 5.871 trillion VND to the state budget and set a full‑year revenue target of over 154 trillion VND, with expected after‑tax profit of about 2.16 trillion VND (down 58 % YoY). BSR will continue to monitor oil market trends, keep the Dung Quat plant at optimal operation, accelerate key projects, and diversify its product portfolio.
