Vietnam's Celebrity Pickleball Tournaments Draw Stars and Large Prize Pools

June 2026 saw two major pickleball events in Vietnam that blended sport with entertainment. The Lavender Icon Open, held on 5 June, featured over 140 athletes and attracted Vietnamese celebrities such as pageant winner Hương Giang, singer Minh Hằng and model Lê Thúy. The tournament included mixed‑celebrity pairings, professional‑amateur duels and a gala awards ceremony aboard the Icon Saigon yacht, where winners received trophies and high‑profile recognition.

A second competition, the Pickleball Báo Người Lao Động tournament, took place on 13 June at the Pickleball Banger club in Ho Chi Minh City. Registration closed on 8 June after dozens of celebrity‑artist duos signed up, including singers, actors and models. The event offered a total prize pool of about 200 million VND, with the champions receiving a VinFast electric motorbike, and featured separate age categories and mixed‑gender pairings. Both tournaments aim to boost the popularity of pickleball in Vietnam by showcasing the sport alongside well‑known public figures.
