Vietnam's Cen Land launches Cen EcoTech college as new master‑training rules take effect

Cen Land announced the establishment of the Cen EcoTech College of Economics and Technology, positioning vocational education as one of its three strategic pillars and aiming to supply skilled workers for the Vietnamese labour market. The initiative reflects a broader push to align training with industry needs in sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, tourism and healthcare.

At the same time, the Ministry of Education and Training issued a revised decree on master‑degree programmes, introducing flexible admission criteria, multiple recruitment rounds per year and a modular timeline for coursework and thesis submission. The new rules give universities discretion to set entry standards, allow partial credit transfer from undergraduate studies, and set minimum and maximum study periods ranging from two‑thirds to two‑and‑a‑half times the standard duration.
