Vietnam's Education Publisher Teams with Oxford to Broaden English Testing Ecosystem

Vietnam's NXB Giáo dục Việt Nam partnered with Oxford University Press to expand a unified education ecosystem that links learning materials, training programs, and English language testing. The collaboration, highlighted at the Choose Oxford event attended by British Ambassador Iain Frew, aims to bring the Oxford Test of English closer to Vietnamese learners and align certification levels with the national language proficiency framework.

In parallel, more than 83,000 teachers across 11 Vietnamese provinces completed an English proficiency survey on the Five-Star E‑Learning (FSEL) platform. The AI‑driven assessment, based on CEFR standards, evaluates listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills to provide data for targeted teacher development programs. Officials emphasized that the survey will help shape training plans and improve overall English competency in schools.
