Vietnam's EVNGENCO1 and EVNGENCO3 achieve 2026 power generation targets

EVNGENCO3 reported that its power plants produced 15.3 TWh of electricity in the first six months of 2026, reaching 97.5 % of the planned output and 108.6 % of the NSMO operational benchmark. The output was split among its units: Phú Mỹ Thermal (4.845 TWh), Vĩnh Tân Thermal (4.034 TWh), Mông Dương Thermal (4.021 TWh) and Buôn Kuốp Hydropower (0.819 TWh). All plants met technical‑economic targets, maintained high availability, ensured fuel stock levels, and implemented environmental safeguards.

EVNGENCO1 said it generated 2.61 TWh in July, bringing its cumulative production to 22.35 TWh for the first seven months of 2026 – a 7.2 % increase over the same period in 2025 and in line with its plan. The company kept coal inventories above minimum levels, operated its thermal and hydro units safely, and advanced investment projects such as floating solar on reservoirs, the Ha M Thuận pumped‑storage scheme and battery‑energy‑storage systems. It also pursued digital transformation, received four EVN‑recognised innovation awards, and contributed roughly VND 7.7 trillion to social‑welfare programmes.
