Vietnam's Gia Lai tax office warns new businesses of filing errors

The tax office of Gia Lai province in Vietnam issued a warning that newly established household businesses operating in the first six months of 2026 may face rejection or inability to submit tax return Form 01/TKN‑CNKD. The deadline for reporting actual revenue, bank‑account or e‑wallet details, and filing the second‑quarter tax return is 31 July 2026.

Businesses with revenue up to VND 1 billion must report actual revenue using Form 01/TKN‑CNKD per Circular 50/2026 and, if applicable, report bank or e‑wallet numbers on Form 01/BK‑STK (Circular 18/2026). Property‑rental households that file twice a year must submit Form 01/BĐS and detailed schedule Form 01/BK‑BĐS. Companies with quarterly filing and revenue between VND 1 billion and VND 50 billion must file Form 01/CNKD for Q2 2026.

Common mistakes leading to rejection include selecting the wrong tax object, choosing the “Year 2026” period instead of the “First half of 2026”, and reporting zero revenue. Tax numbers that are inactive or lack required bank/e‑wallet information also cause issues. The tax office urges businesses to verify all details before submission.
