Vietnam's Golden Gate Group loses public company status

On 31 July 2026 the State Securities Commission of Vietnam announced that Golden Gate Group, the owner of a portfolio of food‑and‑beverage brands such as Kichi‑Kichi, Gogi, The Coffee House, Hutong and others, has had its public‑company status revoked. The regulator said the revocation was due to the company’s failure to complete the required securities registration and share‑trading procedures for a listed entity.

Golden Gate said the change is purely legal and does not affect its day‑to‑day operations, financial health, governance standards or commitments to customers, partners and employees. The group also reiterated that its long‑term plan to launch an IPO remains unchanged and will be pursued when market conditions and internal preparations are suitable. The decision does not alter the rights of existing shareholders.
