Vietnam's Golden Gate restaurant group stripped of public company status

The State Securities Commission of Vietnam notified Golden Gate Group that its public‑company status has been revoked under the country's securities law because the firm did not complete the required registration with the Vietnam Securities Depository Center (VSDC) and stock‑trading registration. The company, which operates well‑known restaurant brands such as Kichi‑Kichi, Gogi and Isushi, said the decision is purely a legal change and does not affect its day‑to‑day operations, financial capacity, governance quality or development strategy.

Golden Gate affirmed that the revocation will not harm shareholders' rights, customer commitments, partner relationships or employee interests. It reiterated its long‑term intention to list shares on Ho Chi Minh City’s stock exchange, stating that it will resume the IPO process when market conditions and internal preparations are appropriate. The firm emphasized continued compliance with all regulatory requirements and its focus on sustainable growth and high corporate governance standards.
