Vietnam's Masan posts record Q2 profit of 3.8 trillion dong
Vietnam's Masan Group reported a record net profit after tax of VND 3.8 trillion in the second quarter of 2026, more than double the profit a year earlier. The six‑month cumulative profit reached VND 5.773 trillion, up 2.2 times YoY, while net revenue rose 53.5% to VND 28.118 trillion.
Based on the strong performance, Masan proposed raising its 2026 targets to VND 98‑105 trillion in revenue and VND 10‑11.5 trillion in profit before minority‑interest adjustments. The Consumer Operating System (cOS) platform generated VND 20.059 trillion in revenue, up about 21%, with NPAT Pre‑MI of VND 3.356 trillion, a 26.2% increase. Its retail arm WinCommerce, operating the WinMart/WinMart+ chain, posted quarterly revenue of VND 11.629 trillion, up 27.4%, and NPAT Pre‑MI of VND 142 billion, a 14‑fold rise. WinCommerce opened 324 new stores in Q2, bringing its national footprint to 5,141 outlets, with over 90% of new stores reaching EBITDA breakeven in the quarter.
Growth was also seen across Masan’s retail formats: minimarts grew 12.4% and supermarkets 16.3% on the back of store upgrades and higher point‑of‑sale productivity. Phúc Long Heritage, part of Masan Consumer, recorded quarterly revenue of VND 550 billion, up 26.9%, while Masan Consumer itself posted revenue of VND 7.165 trillion, a 14.2% increase.
