Vietnam's Ministry of Construction Deploys Integrated Data Ecosystem

The Ministry of Construction (MoC) in Vietnam has created an integrated shared data ecosystem, linking its five core databases with those of other ministries, including the Ministry of Public Security, and connecting to the National Data Centre. This follows Politburo Resolution No. 57‑NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.

The MoC reports completing 171 of 287 tasks assigned under the resolution (about 60%), finishing all ten specialised databases and enabling online public services for 246 administrative procedures—covering roughly 99% of eligible services. Data integration has reduced documentation requirements for 58 procedures and is intended to speed processing, lower compliance costs and increase transparency.

Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc emphasised that success will be measured by practical digital platforms and tangible benefits for citizens and businesses, positioning digital transformation as a key driver of growth for Vietnam’s construction sector and broader economy.
