Vietnam's Nguyen Thuy Linh Falls to India's Tanvi Sharma in Taipei Super 300 Final

On 2 August 2026, the women's singles final of the BWF World Tour Super 300 event in Taipei, Taiwan was contested between Vietnam’s top player Nguyen Thuy Linh and 17‑year‑old Indian prodigy Tanvi Sharma. Sharma took the match in straight games, 21‑16, 21‑16, securing her first professional title. Linh, ranked 25th globally, suffered her fifth runner‑up finish in a Super 300 tournament, collecting US$9,120 and 5,950 world‑ranking points. The first game saw Sharma dominate early with aggressive play, building a 10‑2 lead before Linh rallied to narrow the gap, but Sharma re‑established control to close the set.
