Vietnam's Nguyễn Xuân Thái Becomes Chairman of Multiple Firms, Holds $5.7 bn in Assets

Nguyễn Xuân Thái, born in 2003 and son of entrepreneur Nguyễn Đức Thụy, was appointed to several board positions across Vietnamese financial and sports enterprises. He now serves as a member of the board of directors at LPBank (LPBS), the board of CTCP Đầu tư Thể thao Phù Đổng, and the board of the cryptocurrency exchange Sacom, where he also holds the vice‑chairmanship. In June 2026 he became chairman and CEO of Thái Hoàng Capital, and he serves as assistant to the board of Sacombank.

According to LPBank’s prospectus, Thái holds 190.02 million LPBS shares, representing 13.49 % of the company's charter capital, valuing his stake at approximately VND 5,700 billion (about $5.7 billion) based on a reference price of VND 30,000 per share. The company plans to list over 1.4 billion additional shares on the HoSE in August 2026, raising more than VND 42 trillion in market capitalisation. LPBank reported second‑quarter 2026 net profit of VND 503 billion, a 2.4‑fold increase year‑over‑year.
