Vietnam’s Pickleball Growth Highlighted by Trà Ngọc Hằng’s Annual Tournament and New Team Jogarbola

The annual Pickleball competition founded by Vietnamese former beauty queen Trà Ngọc Hằng drew hundreds of players, entertainers, beauty queens and business leaders. The 2024 edition was the largest to date, featuring a mixed‑doubles exhibition between Team Trà Ngọc Hằng (including Trà, rising star Quang Dương and entrepreneur Giang Nguyễn) and Team MC Vân Hugo. A moving moment came when Hằng’s young daughter, Sophia, who was off school, said she was there "because I see my mother working hard," prompting applause from the audience.

In a separate event in Hanoi, the Jogarbola Pickleball team was officially launched by the Động Lực Group. The roster listed seven of Vietnam’s top players – Trịnh Linh Giang, Đỗ Minh Quân, Trương Vinh Hiển, Phạm Hồng Nam, Sophia Phương Anh, Sophia Huỳnh Trần and young talent Phạm Ngọc Hà Vy. Linh Giang, a former PPA Tour Malaysia singles champion, joined forces with Minh Quân and Vinh Hiển, a pairing expected to reshape competition on the national circuit. The launch also introduced new equipment, including the Solus Prime racket and Vento pickleball shoes, alongside the Performance Collection 2026 designed for elite athletes.
