Vietnam's PV Power and Phu Tho industrial zones report strong growth
PV Power is projected to achieve record profits in 2026, with earnings expected to reach nearly 6,500 billion VND. According to an update from Techcombank Securities (TCBS), the company's revenue could hit 62,799 billion VND, an 83.1% increase, driven largely by the operational commencement of the Nhon Trach 3 and 4 power plants.
In the second quarter of 2026, PV Power reported net profit after tax belonging to parent company shareholders of 3,519 billion VND, a 5.8-fold increase compared to the same period last year. While some growth was attributed to non-recurring items such as exchange rate differences and gas price settlements, core business activities remain strong, with Nhon Trach 3 and 4 contributing approximately 67% of the total output increase.
Separately, in Phu Tho province, foreign direct investment (FDI) into industrial zones has seen significant growth. For the first eight months of 2026, FDI attracted to these zones reached over 2,059 million USD, representing a 3.6-fold increase compared to the same period in 2025. This figure accounts for 138% of the initial annual target.
