Vietnam’s sunrise fish markets in Khánh Hòa and Quảng Ngãi attract tourists

At Dốc Lết beach in Khánh Hòa province, the Ninh Thủy village fish market opens at 5 a.m.–6 a.m. Fishermen bring their overnight catch directly to the shore, where vendors sell fresh fish, squid and shrimp without intermediaries. Tourists line up early to buy seafood for breakfast dishes such as bánh xèo, praising the freshness and low prices.

In nearby Quảng Ngãi province, a floating market operates from 4 a.m. to 7 a.m. at Cửa Đại in An Phú commune. Boats unload directly onto the water, offering a variety of fresh fish, shrimp and squid. The market supports local families, with daily earnings ranging from roughly 3‑8 million VND per trip, and also draws residents and visitors seeking inexpensive, freshly‑caught seafood.

Both markets last only a few hours each morning, providing a vivid glimpse of coastal Vietnamese fishing life and serving as a growing attraction for domestic and foreign tourists.
