Vietnam's Tay Ninh Province signs $125M waste‑to‑energy pact with Dutch firm

At an investment‑promotion conference in Amsterdam on 23 June, Vietnam’s Tay Ninh provincial Industry and Trade Department signed a memorandum of understanding with Dutch company Harvest Waste B.V. to study and potentially build a waste‑to‑energy plant using European technology. The project is valued at more than US$125 million.

The event also saw agreements between the Dutch Business Association in Vietnam and the province’s finance service, as well as a partnership between agritech groups De Heus and Hung Nhon to develop high‑tech agriculture value chains. Provincial Party Committee secretary Nguyen Van Quyet highlighted the goal of deepening Vietnam‑Netherlands cooperation in logistics, clean energy, circular economy and sustainable development, while Dutch ambassador Ngo Huong Nam reiterated the embassy’s role as a bridge for Dutch investors.
