Vietri di Potenza hosts 12th Tipica food and music festival

Vietri di Potenza in Basilicata will hold the 12th edition of the Tipica eno‑gastronomic route on 12 and 13 August 2026. The event showcases local specialties from Vietri and the Lucanian area, with stands offering olive oil, cured meats, traditional pastries, wines, craft beers and more.

The historic centre will be closed to traffic and transformed into three themed squares for appetizers, first courses and main dishes. Free parking on SP 94 and a shuttle service operate from 20:00 to 01:30. Musical performances include the Principi del Liscio, Le Magiche Note, Agostino Gerardi on 12 August and Duo Music, Rock Band Thergo and Musicamanovella on 13 August, plus itinerant music by the GPF Band and the Folk Group of San Gregorio Magno. A special “Vietrese” coin will be minted for the festival, highlighting strong community involvement, especially from women, grand‑mothers and children who prepare the dishes.
