Vietri sul Mare and Tolfa Summer Music Festivals Attract Thousands

The Concerti d’Estate in Vietri sul Mare, held on 21 July at Villa Guariglia, featured a flute tribute organised by artistic director Antonia Willburger and supported by the Italian Ministry of Culture, local municipalities and the Conservatory “Giuseppe Martucci”. The program highlighted the town’s historic flute school lineage, with performances by Maestro Antonio Senatore, student Mario Montani and pianist Laura Cozzolino.

The Tolfa Jazz Festival celebrated its 17th edition from 17‑19 July, drawing more than 1,000 spectators to the Anfiteatro of the Villa Comunale and surrounding streets. Highlights included trumpeter Fabrizio Borso, pianist‑vocalist Frida Bollani Magoni, and the jazz‑rap group Davide Shorty & Nuova Forma Army, alongside local youth ensembles, illustrating the festival’s blend of tradition and contemporary jazz.
