Viettel and VNU-HCM partner for technology student training
Viettel and Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City have signed an agreement to implement a strategic technology human resource training program using the CO-OP (Co-operative Education) model for the 2026-2030 period.
Starting in the 2026-2027 academic year, the partnership aims to recruit 200 students across five specialized fields: artificial intelligence, data science, information security, microchip design, and electronic-telecommunications engineering. Each field is expected to enroll 40 students.
Under this model, students will focus on foundational knowledge at the university for the first two years. From the third year onward, Viettel experts will participate in curriculum development, co-teach specific modules, and supervise student projects. Students will be assigned mentors and work tools, and may receive monthly support from Viettel. While the university manages academic affairs and degree certification, Viettel will evaluate work performance and provide feedback to the institution.
