Vieux Pont bridge connects Limay and Mantes-la-Jolie

A new 120-meter pedestrian and cyclist bridge has been inaugurated at the Vieux Pont, connecting Limay and Mantes-la-Jolie across the Seine. The project aims to promote eco-friendly mobility and enhance local heritage.

The Vieux Pont, which dates back to the 11th century, is one of the oldest structures of its kind in France. Despite suffering damage to its central arches during the Second World War, the historic site has been restored to support this new crossing, linking the Île-aux-Dames to the mainland.
