The Vigezzina-Centovalli railway will operate the ‘Treno del Foliage 2026’ from October 10 to November 15, 2026. This scenic route connects Domodossola in Italy with Locarno in Switzerland, covering approximately 52 kilometers through the Vigezzo Valley and Centovalli.

The journey traverses diverse landscapes, including beech, fir, chestnut, and larch forests, offering views of Alpine autumn colors. The route passes through locations such as Santa Maria Maggiore and Re in Italy before descending through the Centovalli gorges toward Lake Maggiore. Tickets for the 2026 season allow for one intermediate stop during the outbound or return journey.
