Viggiano Hosts 17th Arpa Viggianese Festival on Aug 1-2, 2026

The town of Viggiano in southern Italy will stage the 17th edition of the Arpa Viggianese festival on 1–2 August 2026. Organized by the Forum Giovanile di Viggiano with the support of the Associazione Arpa Viggianese and the Comune di Viggiano, the two‑night program blends the region’s historic harp tradition with contemporary interpretations.

Featured performances include duos with harpist F. Virgilio and guitarist M. Canali, Pia Salvia with drummer N. Israeli, and the duo of G. Dudziak and M. Wójcik. An ensemble of the Arpa Viggianese will also appear, featuring Benjamin Creighton Griffiths under the artistic direction of Sara Simari. In addition, a masterclass titled “ArpaLab estate 2026” led by Sara Simari and Emanuela Degli Esposti runs from 29 July through 2 August, culminating in the evening concerts at Piazza Regina delle Genti Lucane at 21:30.
